Question: Different between biotic and abiotic factor.

Answer: Biotic factors:

  1. All living components of our environment are known as biotic factors.
  2. For Eg: plants, animals, human beings.

Abiotic factors:

  1. All non living components of our environment are known as abiotic factors.
  2. For Eg: water, sunlight, air, soil.

Question: Different between herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores.

Answer: Herbivores:

  1. Animals who derive their nutrition from plants are known as herbivores.
  2. For Eg: Cows, deer and goats etc.

Carnivores:

  1. Animals who drive their nutrition from animals are called carnivores.
  2. For Eg: Humans, bears and crow.

Omnivores:

  1. Animals who drive their nutrition from both plants and animal.
  2. For Eg: Tigers, lions and wolves etc.

Question: Why are only green plants called producers?

Answer:

  1. Green plants called light energy into chemical energy.
  2. They can make their own food with non-living things.

Question: Lions have strong claws that can be withdrawn inside their toes. How does this help the lion?

Answer: They need claws to tear flesh and helps it to catch its prey, it can move silently to catch prey.

Question: What is adaption?

Answer: Some special features that help organisms to live or survivor in a  particular environment is known as adaptation.

Question: With a help of neat labelled diagram explain the adaptation a water lily.

  1. It has broad flat leaf for floating in water.
  2. The leaf has stomata on the upper side for exchanging gases.
  3. They have poor root system.
  4. They have waxy-coating for protection.
  5. They have long, hollow and flexible stem filled with air.
