Fashion in dress are the order of the day. People in ancient days led a very simple simple life. Man learnt the art of spinning, weaving and making cotton and woolen clothes. The cloth so made was coarse and simple. With the increase of his knowledge, man began to prepare fine cloth of different qualities and designs. Yet he wore simple, loose clothes.

Today we live in a world of fashions. Men and women are seen wearing fancy, bright colored clothes of different cut and fashion. These are made of cotton, silk, crepe, nylon and rayon. Tight garment have come into vogue. The testes of the males and the females for fashions in dress have become common, so much so that often it is a problem to distinguish a boy from a girl.

Most of these fashions are an imitation of the West. There is an interchange of fashions. The dresses worm by people in those countries have become popular with us, whereas clothes of Indian fashions. The dresses worn by people in those countries have become popular with us, whereas clothes of Indian fashion and ready-made garments have favor with them.

An important change has taken place in the mentality of people with regard to fashions. Everybody tires to look neat and tidy. Modern fashions have no doubt, made a person active and smart. The world of fashions has undergone a complete change.

Weaving: Weaving is a method of textile production in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric or cloth. Other methods are knitting, crocheting, felting, and braiding or plaiting. The longitudinal threads are called the warp and the lateral threads are the weft or filling.

Spinning: Spinning is the twisting together of drawn-out strands of fibers to form yarn, and is a major part of the textile industry. The yarn is then used to create textiles, which are then used to make clothing and many other products.
