Answer: India is a land of diversity. Diversity in our country exists in the from of culture, traditions, caste, community, region, religion, language, festivals etc.

Question: Why is India known as a secular nation?

Answer: India is home to many religious-Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism etc. Our Constitution declares India to be a secular nation.

Question: What is the linguistic diversity of India?

Answer: In India there are more than 200 languages spoken and more than 1,600 dialects (local languages).

Question: What do you understand by the term Diversity?

Answer: Diversity is the state of being varied or the state of being different from one another. It exists around us in various forms. We find people around us who are different from each other in many ways. Diversity in India exists in the from of culture, traditions caste, community, region, religious, language, festivals etc.
